The Dollhouse Flower Book

A riot of flowers in polymer clay but this time made like never before using stencils to ‘print‘ the plant parts. This little handbook is largely intended as an aide to using Angie Scarr Miniatures stencils effectively but it is also full of hints and tips about getting materials and colours right and how to display your work. Stencilling with a mix of solid polymer clay and liquid clays (Goo) is a new adventure for both Angie and her students. Until now the world of miniature flower making traditionally centred around three basic materials; paper, cold porcelain and solid polymer clay, each of which have their drawbacks as well as their benefits, and each of which required a lot of patience to produce the flowers in large enough numbers to fill a dollhouse shop. These ideas look at new and different ways of using polymer clay to produce beautiful, delicate flowers and plants which are resistant to moisture and can be semi translucent, in delicate subtle or glorious strong colours without individual painting of leaves and petals. You don‘t have to have endless patience to use these simple techniques.
