The book introduces the reader to the applications and fundamental principles of geostatistical tools to soil science. It is aimed at describing the field-scale horizontal spatial variability and, the degree of linear association within and between the selected soils and developing models to predict the soil aggregate stability from other soil properties in Nimbia Forest Reserve in Southern Guinea Savannah of Nigeria.It is ed primarily for students and teachers of soil sciences in tertiary institution who need to have an in-depth knowledge of geostatistics and its contribution to the assessment of soil properties. The book investigate the heterogeneity in soil physical and chemical properties of a forest ecosystem using both classical and spatial statistical tools. The book is well illustrated with examples and contains an outline of the methods of analyzing geostatistical data and their presentation in form of tables and diagrams as well as description and exploration of the Nimbia forest soils. It is also suitable for students of geology, natural and environmental sciences.
