Palestinian political thought

This book, the author‘s first in the field of political studies, was first published in Beirut in 1980. It serves as a critical study of the ideology upon which the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was founded in 1964, tracing its evolution alongside the organization‘s development and the transfer of its leadership from the founders to representatives of the fedayeen factions. The study encompasses the ideology that guided the founding group, as well as that of the fedayeen factions, and compares the two. In this context, the study examines the Palestinian National Charter, drafted and ratified by the founding group, and the National Charter drafted by the fedayeen four years later. It also analyzes documents of the Palestinian factions related to the PLO, culminating in the document adopted by the Palestinian National Council with near unanimity, entitled the "Phased National Action Program," also known as the Ten-Point Program.
