It‘s Just a Plant

From the illustrator of the #1 best-selling, Go the F**k to Sleep, It‘s Just a Plant is an earnest children‘s picture book that provides parents a way to thoughtfully and factually discuss marijuana. The book includes an epilogue by Marsha Rosenbaum, PhD, who is the founder of the Safety First Project for drug education and director emerita of the San Francisco office of the Drug Policy Alliance, the nation‘s leading organization working to end the war on drugs. Marijuana was demonized and made illegal in the US during the post-Prohibition era, but over the decades the opinion on this plant has changed and it is now considered by many, including physicians, to have certain health benefits. Marijuana has been legalized or partially legalized in numerous states and countries throughout the world. Cortés presents an earnest, fact-based book that does not at all encourage marijuana use, but does encourage honest discussions about it. Cortés initially self-published the book and appeared on Fox News; the book was also positively reviewed in the New York Post and many other publications.
