In this book, the author summarizes the work of prominent psychologists such as Sigmund Freud, Adler, Carl Jung, and Rivers. He has simplified scientific terminology, writing in an easy and accessible style, making it easy for the reader to grasp complex ideas and theories. This book delves into the subconscious mind, or what is called the unconscious, and its central role in guiding the human psyche. Through reading this book, the reader will see how certain phenomena related to the subconscious manifest themselves through illusions, thoughts, and dreams. This book also helps the reader cope psychologically with worries and illnesses resulting from the continuous repression and accumulation of things in the unconscious. In his introduction to this book, Salama Moussa says: "The subject of this book is new to the Arabic language. In European languages, it is relatively recent, spearheaded by the Austrian scientist Freud, whose theories were supported, promoted, and refined by a group of scholars such as Jung in Switzerland, Adler in Germany, Baudouin in France, and Rivers in England." Perhaps the latter was the greatest refinement of Freud‘s theories. But the credit for the invention and innovation belongs to Freud alone. It was within my power to translate one of their works into Arabic and be satisfied with that, but I found that the original language helps the reader understand better than the language of translation. Nevertheless, in my writing, I am merely summarizing what I have studied about them, and in summarizing, I refine and purify, taking into account the interests of the Arab reader, which translation might not be able to achieve.
