Journey to the Center of the Earth

We searched extensively for a complete Arabic translation of this renowned novel, but found none. Undertaking the translation and publication of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne, the author often called the father of French science fiction, was by no means an easy task. However, we resolved to proceed. It was a courageous step by the esteemed translator Randa Hakim to dedicate herself to translating this novel from French into Arabic, spending months immersed in the spirit of its author, deciphering the mysteries of many words and archaic French expressions, until it emerged complete and flowing as Jules Verne intended. He first published it in 1864, then revised and expanded it for a larger edition in 1867. This is a novel that all critics describe as enjoyable, engaging, and enriching for all ages. It is no exaggeration to say that much of what Jules Verne wrote in his novels, especially "Journey to the Center of the Earth," was based on sound scientific predictions that were indeed realized in later years by scientists.
